People find movers in many different ways. Robert did it the right way: he researched carefully, got on-site estimates, asked hard questions, and paid attention to how each company handled the details. Here is what he found.
How Did Robert Find the Right Moving Company?
“I am a retired military member that has moved (PCS) three times through government provided moving services and one time through another moving service. Hands down, Brothers Easy Moving of Tampa provided the best service at the best price than we have ever experienced before through our other moving experiences.
I initially identified multiple companies through Angie’s List and asked for on-site inspections to develop an estimate. Josh arranged the inspection and worked around my schedule without any issues. When we received the return quote from the company it was very acceptable; however, we were skeptical of the estimate as we had been ‘burned’ over hidden costs during a previous move (not military associated). We confirmed the price and dates with the company.
In the days leading up to the actual packing and move, we determined that our Texas home would not be ready for occupation for approximately 10 days. We contacted Brothers Easy Moving of Tampa and they provided an updated quote to store our household goods. Having dealt with other movers before, the normal procedure is to box all the items up and put it into a storage warehouse. When this happens, it goes through multiple hands = not good. In our case, our items were loaded up on two rental trucks and the vehicles were parked in Tampa, FL prior to making the drive to Texas. Additionally, when the items were delivered, we saw familiar faces and knew the reverse order of things coming out of the truck, which made it much easier to direct the unloading.
During the packing of our items, we did not experience any major difficulties. There was a bit of a delay on the second day, but the company called and made us aware immediately so that we weren’t left wondering what was going on.
For the load out day, our townhome consisted of three levels with very tight corners in the stairwells. To say that moving the furniture was a challenge is an understatement. I cannot emphasize how hard the movers worked without a single moment of bickering or complaining. They constantly displayed a ‘can do’ attitude and made it happen as a team. As an example, we had a large piece of furniture that would not fit down the stairs. We ended up removing a balcony railing and passing it down one level, not an easy task. Never did we hear anybody complain about this additional task in order to make the move happen. Thank you to this complete crew of workers. Everybody was spectacular in making it happen.
The coordination for delivery of our items went without a hitch and the two drivers and trucks arrived as planned.
The unloading was amazing as the two drivers now became the unloaders. Our family was working hard and fast to keep up with their unloading as we unpacked all of our items in order to return items and reduce our trash. Once everything was unloaded, the two workers assembled all the furniture and ensured we didn’t need anything else prior to their departure. The workers did a fantastic job and again, made it all happen without any complaining. They were awesome.
We had one minor glitch at the end concerning payment, but Gary called and corrected it immediately. During the complete moving process, we were always waiting for something bad to happen. It never did.
If you’ve read this complete review, please understand that you will not go wrong with Brothers Easy Moving of Tampa. They are a small company and really do place an emphasis on customer service. They worked with us every step of the way and we wish other companies would do business in the same manner. Great job.”
What Made the Difference on a Complicated Long-Distance Move?
A few things stand out in Robert’s account that are worth naming directly.
First, he had been burned before on hidden costs. That experience made him skeptical, which is a reasonable way to feel. He confirmed the price before booking and it held. That is what quoting honestly looks like in practice.
Second, when his Texas home was not ready, the solution kept his belongings on the same two trucks, with the same crew. His items did not pass through a warehouse and through multiple sets of hands. When the trucks arrived in Texas, he recognized the faces and knew the load order. That continuity matters more than most people realize until something goes wrong on a move where it did not exist.
Third, there was a delay on day two of packing. The crew called before Robert had to wonder. That phone call is not a small thing. People are far more upset by silence than by a delay they know about.
Fourth, a three-level townhome with tight stairwell corners is genuinely hard. Removing a balcony railing to lower a large piece of furniture is real problem-solving under pressure. The crew did it without complaint.
A payment issue came up at the end. Gary called and fixed it. That is how problems should be handled, and it is worth saying plainly rather than pretending the move was perfect in every detail.
