Running a dryer close to moving day is less of a water concern, but the drum needs time to cool completely before it is wrapped and loaded. A hot drum can transfer heat to surrounding items in a packed truck.

It is not too late, but do it the moment you realize it. Banks can flag transactions that suddenly appear in a new city as suspicious and freeze your card, which is the last thing you need when you are buying supplies or paying for meals during a move.

Call the bank directly rather than relying on an online form if you are within a few days of your move date. A phone call gets the update processed faster and gives you a confirmation you can reference if something goes wrong.
