Get the weight before booking, not on moving day. Most manufacturers list the weight in the product manual or on the manufacturer's website. A safe that turns out to be 520 pounds on move day creates a real problem: the crew cannot safely move it, and you are left scrambling for a specialty rigger at the last minute.
