2) Sebastopol, CA
Sebastopol is a small town in northern California that is surprisingly affordable given what it offers: good schools, solid amenities, and natural beauty that includes the nation’s largest freshwater wetlands. The size of the town does not limit what residents have access to.
The town is known for its Gravenstein apple orchards. Farmers offer pick-your-own experiences, and if you drive down State Highway 116 or Gravenstein Highway, you will see the rows of gnarled trees that make this place distinct. Sebastopol also has three separate high-ranked school districts.

Lebanon carries the nickname “City of Fountains” because of the fountains in its downtown square and neighborhoods. It also boasts one of the country’s lowest unemployment rates, supported by high-tech manufacturing companies and locally-owned businesses.
4) Ellensburg, WA
Ellensburg sits in central Washington and offers something that is harder to find than people expect: big-city amenities inside a small-town setting. Living spaces here are convenient and affordable. The town is home to a number of galleries and museums, and residents can also enjoy wineries and breweries that represent some of the best the region has to offer.
